Creation of Safety Data Sheets

Create safety data sheets fast. Simply fill in the basic information and the software will calculate the product classification and complete the text in all sections based on the resulting H-statements. The safety data sheet editor allows the addition of the UN number as part of the ADR, catalogue number, and storage class.

The created safety data sheets and supporting documents can be easily archived in the software, exported to a .pdf, .xlsx, and .docx file, or to a special .sbl file that is designed to share data amongst SBLCore software users.

Automatic Classification and Classification Report

Based on the percentage of individual ingredients in the mixture and their toxicological and ecotoxicological information, the programme calculates the right classification automatically. Automatic classification includes a classification report.

The classification report describes how the program calculated the mixture classification and lists input data. The calculation also includes the derivation of acute ATE toxicity and partial recalculations of environmental hazards. The hazard calculation of a mixture uses summary formulas to assess the additive effects of substances.

Substance Database and the Creation of Own Substances

The software contains a database of substances with harmonised classification according to Annex VI of the CLP Regulation and substances that must follow exposure limits guidance for the working environment.

If the substance is not in the database, you can either create it or use the link to the ECHA database, from which the substance information can be easily imported and edited if required.

According to a customer’s request, we can also prepare a customised database of substances.

Poison Centre Notification and Unique Formula Identifier

To streamline your work, the software can create a file in the appropriate format, which can then be simply uploaded to the ECHA portal. To eliminate the long, manual submission completion, the software notifies you of all mandatory information required.

UFI code is one of the mandatory components of the PCN notification. With the help of our built-in UFI generator, a UFI is simply created based on the numerical formula code and company VAT number. The UFI code is then incorporated into the label and the safety data sheet.

Current Validity Check and Revisions

Eliminate lengthy searches for legislative changes. In the catalogue of safety data sheets, the out-of-date documents are flagged by the ‘traffic lights’ function. It responds to the need for a format change and updated classification requirements.

The orange light flags the safety data sheets with an expiring format or that contain a substance that will be reclassified. The red colour indicates safety data sheets that are in an invalid format; or contain a substance with outdated classification.

The revision function then updates the safety data sheet, creating a copy of the safety data sheet with the current information and archiving the original safety data sheet.

Language Conversion and Phrase Automation

The automatic phrase function brings a major simplification to the safety data sheet by deriving information from the final product classification and filling in the missing phrases based on this information. The automatic phrases comply with the latest national legislation of a given country. They are not a simple one-to-one translation. The users can also create their own specific phrases.

With a single click, the safety data sheet can be easily converted into any of the languages in the software.

Label Design and Formalities

If you struggle with label creation and writing a mandatory text is a thankless task, you will appreciate the label editor function. SBLCore will create a label, include obligatory text and prepare it in print-friendly formats. The document can be saved in pdf, docx, and png formats.

Generate instructions for a graphic design studio from the information you have gathered in the system. In addition to the mandatory text, according to the packaging size, the instructions also specify the size of the symbols and the entire label.
