Our services

Services we provide

Safety data sheets

We create safety data sheets for up to 36 countries in 27 languages. We are here to check the substance classification and the product as a whole. It is our duty to point out any discrepancies. On top of this, we will propose the next steps and define responsibilities arising from chemical legislation, such as notification obligations and label content.

UFI and PCN portal

We will check whether UFI and PCN issues directly concern you. We will provide you with professional assistance in accordance with the current legislation and arrange everything – from personal advice, through registration in the PCN portal and the creation of UFIs, to subsequent product notification.

Let us guide you on meeting legislative requirements regarding detergents. We will create a safety data sheet, label design, and data sheets according to the Detergents Regulation. The detergents notification will be submitted to the PCN portal on your behalf.

How cooperation with us works

The current status analysis

We will get to know you. Tell us your business specialisation, which countries you sell your products in and who your target group is (B2C or B2B). We will review the input documents, check the existing procedures, and suggest all steps that need to be taken to comply with the legislative obligations. Now we are all set to start with the processing of the safety data sheet.

Safety data sheet processing

On the documents' arrival, we will prepare a safety data sheet in accordance with the current legislation of the target country. The classification of substances and the product as a whole will be checked. You will be notified in case of any discrepancies and we will recommend further necessary steps. Do you create your own product? We will provide you with a calculation of the classification according to the product formula. As a result, you will receive a completed safety data sheet with recommendations, if required.

Outputs of our work

The main output of our activities is a safety data sheet that corresponds to the current legislation. Depending on the resulting product classification, we suggest further steps such as label modification, product labelling with a UFI code, and a notification to the PCN portal. We will notify you of any country-specific requirements. An integral part of our service is also the management of your safety data sheets and their subsequent archiving.

Compliance with legislative obligations

Do you know which obligations apply to you?

One of the common problems we encounter is the lack of awareness of the true extent of obligations with which our customers must comply. They usually only find out about issues when they come up to the surface during an inspection by the authorities, unwittingly putting themselves at risk of sanctions.

What obligations apply to the safety data sheet?
The safety data sheet is used to convey information about the hazards of a product in the supply chain. It also gives instructions how to handle such a product. It is created by the substance manufacturer, importer and downstream user, or distributor. The format and content of the safety data sheet are set out in REACH. The safety data sheet shall be produced in the official language of the destination state.
What obligations apply to labelling?
As with the safety data sheet, the label must also be in the official language of the destination state. The information contained shall be consistent with the information from the safety data sheet. At the same time, the content of the label will change depending on the product’s type of use.
When does the obligation to notify a mixture arise?
Mixtures with hazards to human health or physical hazards must be marked with a UFI code and reported to the PCN portal managed by ECHA. However, each state may specify additional steps to be followed within the notification, such as notification fees.
What does the safety data sheet look like?
The safety data sheet follows the exact format set out within the EU in Annex II to REACH. It consists of 16 sections, the titles of which are laid down in all EU languages, so a simple one-to-one translation cannot be produced. It is also defined what information each section should contain. These should be written clearly and concisely. Non-European countries are governed by their own national legislation.
What must the label contain?
The product label shall be created on the basis of section 2.2 of the safety data sheet. It is important to ensure that the safety data sheet and label comply with one another, as the information given must be identical.
What does UFI look like and where is it stated?
The UFI is a mandatory part of the label and must be in legible and indelible form. The abbreviation ‘UFI’ is uniform, i.e. immutable in all languages of the European Union and precedes the code itself, which is always 16 characters long. The code is then presented in the format <b>UFI: U910-D0V9-D00J-R9D3</b>.
